Luo Jianhong

Vice President of Zhejiang University

Luo Jianhong, PhD, professor of neurobiology. He has received much honours: Cross-Century Talents approved by Ministry of Education, special government allowance funded by the State Council, and experts with outstanding achievements of Zhejiang Province. He served as vice-president and executive vice-president of School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. During this period, he promoted the reform of medical science curriculum and academic management mechanism. Currently, Professor Luo is the Vice President for undergraduate education at Zhejiang University. He has been studying intensively in teaching and research of neurosciences. His main research fields include synaptic plasticity and learning memory, synaptic loop pathological mechanism of psychiatric diseases. Professor Luo has published more than 90 SCI papers, and his works have been cited for nearly 3000 times. Meantime, he is a Chief Scientist of National Basic Research Program of China for Protein Science, and has led a number of major, key, and general programs of National Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
