Michele Bugliesi
(PhD, Univ. Denis Diderot-Paris VII) is a Professor in Computer Science. Prior to joining Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, he has been Assistant Professor at the University of Padova, Visiting Professor at Boston University and ENS Paris, and Visiting Scientist at various universities in Europe.
At Ca’ Foscari, he has served as Head of the Department of Environmental Science, Informatics and Statistics (previously Department of Computer Science), as Member of the Council of the Faculty of Sciences, and as Member of the Academic Senate. Since 1 October 2014 he has been Rector of the University.
His research centers on the analysis and formal verification of programming languages and software system, with a more specific focus on security and privacy in distributed systems. He is the author of over 100 publications in top international conferences and journals. Member of the scientific committee of major international conferences, he has coordinated several research projects national and European level.
